Go go!I've gotten advice from local peers and plan on using the advice. My "improved work" will be coming this month (July) and further on. I've been ordering all kinds of pens and sets (not really, only 6 sets) to develop my working ability and found this really really really really-thin, pencil, oh, and it's great. I've also bought some copic multiliner pen sets for inking, and prismagraphite 18 pencil set, and so far, its all been quality material ;>

| I aspire to be a great cartoonist and comic book artist. Ever since joining deviant art I've felt almost completely elapsed by the work of other artists. It's a good thing. My technique compared to others is considerably basic, my work looked great to others in my community but now, it's not good enough even to the artist himself. So on and so and so and so and so.... I have a twin brother who wants to be a comic book artist as well. I'm young, a healthy african american male, and only 17, as well as anti-racist... I have wanted to be a cartoonist for.... Let's say, ever since I could comprehend the word "cartoon"(a long-long time). I'm a natural artist like my dad so I don't need ALL the lessons on how to draw certain things. With that said I have been spending alot of time reviewing what could've made me better 4 years ago! I love to read complex stuff, my stories usually revolve around those sorts of things... I want to draw american marvel/dc style + manga+ disney. So you can count on seeing my name somewhere in some future project between 2010-2025 ;D I like Tite Kubo and Masashi kishimoto's work and style. Masashi's because it is a tad simple but complex where it needs to be. I love all form of cartoon, especially 1950's disney where disney was family entertainment not about pop culture and little kid stuff. D: But I also like the art style of FRAY from dark horse comics and Stan Lee's work(the more new age style of modern marvel artists). I'm at an innermost conflict on who to study more into. I'll just say I'm all for all... If you look at my work you'll see I'm very manga/ cartoony in my work. However, I don't wish to only draw in that specific way. If anyone could help please do. As can be told, I am a very traditional artist, I'll have to start coloring them once I get the chance or get a wacom and master photoshop lol. Jkuraah is a reoccurring theme in my album, I thought of him(the character) in 2005 when Naruto first aired in the US, much inspired by the series at the time. I dislike the filler formerly on the show, but now in shippuden, since they've FINALLY got to the central plot in the manga, I've resumed watching online on occasion >.> . Manga influences speak out in my work as well as my interests, but as of lately everything drawn and photography seems to. I have an account on hatena, a website where you upload your flipnotes you make on your DSi. I am quite the animator XD. I've been taking a break from flipnotes but have resumed, as well as plan on uploading my latest work because a boost of confidence in it. With alot of users "better" than me, I think I have SOME ground to stand on. |
